The Ateco #829 is a large open star pastry tube built from heavy-gauge, rust-resistant stainless steel, purpose-engineered for professional bakeries and demanding pastry kitchens. Featuring a 0.69-inch top diameter opening, this tip produces bold, sharply defined star patterns with excellent volume and definition in every pass. It is equally at home piping stars, shells, rosettes, fleur-de-lis, flowers, crullers, and eclairs across cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and laminated doughs. The tip is compatible with Ateco large couplers (404 and 407), enabling seamless tip swaps without changing the pastry bag, or it can be dropped directly into the bag on its own. Stamped and seam-formed in Korea to Ateco’s longstanding quality standards, it is dishwasher safe though hand washing is recommended to preserve edge sharpness and shape.
